Random Swatches

I used to have a huge back log of swatches but I've gotten rid of most of them that I don't like or that I think I could improve on. These are what's left over from what I had. I need a camera that takes good macro photos indoors, or I just need to learn how, or I have to wait til I have the ambition to swatch during the sunlight hours. Otherwise I dislike my photos, and I won't post them. That's just the way it is I'm afraid *shrug*. Hope you don't mind.

This is Peachy Keen by Misa from the Hip to My Jive collection from this summer/fall. It's a shimmery sandy peach. It honestly doesn't look like much in the bottle but I love it on. This is two coats. I love Misa so hard.

Next is New Bohemian from Color Club's Back to Boho collection from this fall. It's blue/green turquoise "Tiffany" blue color that we've seen before but I still adore it! Perfect crème, two coats.

This is another Color Club polish from Back to Boho, Nomadic Nude. I really have a soft spot for neutrals and this putty greige is just so classic looking. This formula was a bit watery, but still covered well in three coats.

I will be trying to actively swatch in the sunlight whenever it is available from now on, so don't give up on me yet. I figure if you're still reading this, you don't mind when I post, just that I post at all eh? ...Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part. ;)

Products provided for review.

  1. The first evokes thoughts of OPI´s Sand In My Suit which I love.

  3. I love peachy keen! Do you know how it compares to OPI Sand In My Suit/Zoya Touch polishes? I've missed your regular posts! I hope you come back to us more often in the future :)

  4. I like the 2 Color Clubs, I actually just bought the Back to Boho set at Ross on Black Friday. I'm wearing Red-ical Gypsy now. Where did you get your CC's? I can totally understand you on the photo thing, I just decided an hour ago to forget posting for today because the light quality of my photos was terrible.

  8. Your photos are the best! I suppose the ones you think are bad are pretty good. I would read anything you write silly girl. You are terrific. I adore deep dark polishes, glitters & shimmers. I doe have a soft spot for those neutrals. I used to have 2 perfect ones but they were out in the '80's. One was from Avon & the other was Revlon's Santa Fe Sand. I wish I could have the Revlon again, it was just perfect.

  9. Don't worry, Google Reader and my blogroll will keep me updated so post whenever you can/want (better than no posts at all ^_^). I have the same problem, I prefer taking pictures in daylight(especially to shimmer polishes) but now I only see sunlight on Sat and Sunday (until 2 p.m. then it's all too yellowish). I'm also beginning to delete old backlog swatches that are not nice enough to be posted (so I have also a pile of "to be re-swatched" polishes).
BTW Nomadic Nude on you is stunning :0

  12. I know what you mean about the 'bad pics'! I never have time to do my nails when there is daylight, but now I've bought a daylight bulb, that I'm hoping will do the trick! But I haven't had time to try it out yet :/

  13. I don't know what's going in your real life that's keeping you from posting as frequeently as you used to, but I still check every couple days to see if you've posted anything new (maybe wishful thinking on my part, ha). I used to come by every day when you posted almost every day, and I hope you will continue to. You are one of my favorite nail bloggers, your nails are so cute & your swatches & pictures are great. I look forward to more you!!! :)
