I found this blog after reading an article in either Cosmo or Glamour (can't remember which) but the article talked about the really good nail polish blogs out there and Also Known As was one of them! You have gorgeous short nails.

Kellie, I love your blog and I have been following you so long that I have forgotten how it all started. I do remember, however loving your posts right from the start. Your love for nail polish is why I was hooked.
ReplyDeleteI began my love for nail polish at a very young age but then it kind of faded until a few years ago when I fell in love again. It's a beautiful hobby that I use to entertain myself & my wallet:) My husband is quite busy with his career so I needed a hobby to keep myself sane, and nail polish was a perfect fit:)

I loved nail polish when I was a teenager, then when I was about 21, I started getting back into it. At that point, I was just into the different colors coming out. Had no idea about other brands aside from the drugstore ones or the nail polish community. Someone posted a link to a giveaway on FB several months ago and since then, I haven't stopped!! :D Buy nail polish whenever I can, stamping plates. I've never heard of Misa since it's not carried here, and I would love to try something new! :) Thanks for the giveaway!!

I am not a "true" polish addict, so yours is one of the few Nail websites I follow - but it is the BEST because your pictures are amazing and you show so many cool brands that it makes my search for a great polish easy. I suffer from severe depression & social anxiety and nail polish is a form of therapy for me. Doing my nails is something I can do when I'm feeling sad or stressed. It makes me feel better to have my nails look nice and it calms me down when I'm feeling scattered. Also,I like to thing of nail polish as color therapy you can take with you where ever you go. A bonus to being so into nail polish is that it gives me something to talk about when I'm out, whether it's someone saying they like the color I'm wearing, me asking about someone else's polish, or helping someone with buying polish or related stuff.

ReplyDeleteNail polish lured me into it's world many years ago. As a little girl and up to about 19 I bit my nails. I tried time and time to quit but I always went back to my nasty habit. Until one time I painted my nails. As long as I had nail polish on my digits they remain un-bit. To this day I have to have my nail polish on my nails. I have had to remove it for a few surgeries but believe me as soon as I was able (meaning in the hospital bed) I painted those babies.

What a great giveaway! I have been eyeing this collection actually. I've never tried Misa before.

Love your blog I found you also off a blogroll i saw, I have never herd of this polish but would love to try it. I started doing my nails about 4 months ago now I can't leave home with out them being painted and stamped. The grandbaby loves her toes being done she is 16 months old.

I'm absolutely in love with polish....haha, I've accumulated at least 100 this year. This collection is really pretty and nude, it reminds me of Color Club's bohemian collection a while back, maybe a year or two?

ReplyDeleteI've loved polish since I bought my first periwinkle polish at the age of 9 (that was when we wore ankh rings - before electricity was invented) and have been working on perfecting my nails ever since with just about every polish I have bought in the last 25 years. I still have the one I wore for my wedding 16 years ago!
