Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture Peace Green Swatch & Review

This polish is somewhat of a unicorn, and I apologize if my posting about it gives you a hard to find lemming. But I HAD to post it! It's too good. Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture in Peace Green is one of the Spring's hottest nail colors and it's finally mine! I've been searching for it for a while and it's been totally sold out everywhere, but my beautiful friend Jane gave me a heads up when she found two hiding at a Saks store in Florida. She had the counter save them for me, so I was able to call in and get it sent to me, yay!

Peace Green is a light airy jasper green with an opal-like pink/copper shimmer flash. The flash looks a little more gold in the pictures but it's noticeably pink in real life. The formula is a little on the thin side, but not difficult to put on. I've heard a few people say they had trouble with the consistency, but I found it easy to get an opaque, non-streaky finish in two coats.

I found the packaging super luxe, a reflective gold box houses the beauty within. It has an equally impressive gold square top which can be taken off for ease of application. The brush is a wider one with a rounded tip, which I usually don't care for, but I didn't have any trouble with it. I'm just all around happy with this polish!

I purchased this for $28. It's definitely more high-end than most of my polish purchases, but I figure it's ok to splurge every so often! I recently picked up another one for a friend on the Saks website, but they tend to go in and out of stock so check back if it's sold out. I've also heard it's been available at Nordstrom and directly from YSL. Let me know what you think of this ethereal stunner! I am head over heels! Are you searching for any special polish right now?
