Glam Polish Every Witch Way Collection [Partial] Swatches & Review

A Witchy Friday to you, kind reader! Today I have a new bunch of shades to share with you from Australian indie brand Glam Polish, the Every Witch Way collection! This is a six piece collection of wintery pale shades that invoke feelings of mystical sorceresses instead of the cackling green witches we think of around Halloween. I've got five of the colors to show you, so let's take a look!

Resting Witch Face is a pale greyed out blue holographic crelly with blue and purple glass fleck shimmer. This applied easily, it was nice and creamy for such a bangin holo! Two coats. Confession? I'm pretty sure I have been accused of having a "resting witch face." ;)

Every Witch Way has multiple sizes of pink, blue, white and silver holographic glitter along with color shifting iridescent glitter in a clear base. I layered one coat over Resting Witch Face. This is so gorgeous! The glitter will dry bumpy so you'll want a thick layer of top coat. This would also look really great over darker colors!

I had to show a photo of this in the shade. The shifty glitters give the polish such a different look in low light! (and oddly made it look kinda purple, but it's not purple)

Karma’s A Witch is a soft violet holographic crelly with purple glass fleck shimmer. This was just as great as the other crelly holo, though this one was slightly more jelly than crème. Just as opaque though, only two coats for opacity.

Witches Be Trippin’ has multiple sizes of black, white and silver holographic glitter along with more of those color shifting iridescent glitter pieces in a clear base. I put one coat on top of Karma's A Witch. This is incredibly beautiful and I am mesmerized by it. You will probably want a thick top coat for this one as well to get a smooth finish.

Witch Be Like… has an aqua tinted jelly base with purple glass flecks and multiple sizes of holographic glitter. This guy was slightly runny for me, but not terribly so. The jelly base can get goopy if you pile on your coats too quickly, so be sure to wait a few minutes between layers to get the best application. I used two here.

The last shade that I don't have to show you is Witch With Attitude, a pink tinted jelly base with blue glass flecks and multiple sizes of holographic glitter, sort of the sister shade to Witches Be Like... You can see some lovely swatches of that gal on the Glam Polish instagram page!

Different Dimension Intergalactic Collection Swatches & Review

Greetings Earthlings! I have a new space-y collection to show you today from Different Dimension called Intergalactic! It's a five piece set of polishes with spectacular effects designed to channel the galaxy.

Butterfly Nebula is a violet jelly polish with holographic micro flakies and iridescent red to green color-shifting glitters. This applied easily and was completely opaque in three coats. These are all full of glitter so you may need a layer of thick top coat to get a smooth finish. Please believe me when I say, this is way cooler looking in person than I could capture in a photo.

Helix Nebula is a green teal jelly polish with holographic micro flakies and iridescent red to green color-shifting glitters. Another easy to apply shade, I used three coats here. This one is the least opaque of the bunch, so if you wanted a less translucent look you could layer it over a base color.

Cat's Eye Nebula is a burgundy jelly polish with holographic micro flakies and iridescent red to green color-shifting glitters. This one was also lovely to apply, two coats for opacity. I didn't have any staining on this, but it's very pigmented so you might want to double up on your base coat just in case.

Ghost Of Jupiter is a full coverage glitter bomb with silver holographic glitters and iridescent red to green color-shifting glitters. This has a clear base and is a bit chunkier than the others. It can be layered over another color or built up on it's own, as I've done here. This is only two coats! You might see bits of my nail peeking through in the photo, but in person it's impossible to detect as the holo and bling is so strong.

Hourglass Nebula is a chocolate brown jelly polish with holographic micro flakies and iridescent red to green color-shifting glitters. My swatch shows two coats. This is seriously fall in a bottle!

Shleee Polish Swatches & Review

Happy Halloween! Did/are you doing anything festive for this eerie holiday? I didn't do much but I enjoy this time of year immensly. To get you in the spirit, I have three dark and vampy polishes to show you today from indie brand Shleee Polish. I've know the maker, Ashley, for a while now and I couldn't resist picking up a lacquer that she had teased on Facebook a while ago. She actually included two extra goodies for me in the package, incredibly sweet. Let's take a look!

My Roanoke Nightmare is the polish I had to purchase, it's named for this season of American Horror Story, a favorite of mine in general, but this season is epic-ly great! This has an opaque black jelly base filled with color shifting shimmer and red microglitter. This is two easy coats.

It looks different depending on the lighting, so I tried to show off the shift in indirect sunlight for you. I'm head over heels for this! This shade is not available in their store right now, but they do have a "2.0" version which is almost exactly the same though.

Black Moon is a black polish with color shifting shimmer, holographic shimmers, and iridescent glitter. It can shift more green or purple, I was only able to capture the purple though. This went on without any difficulty, creamy and with great coverage. This had a bit more of a scent to it than the other two, a little like old Kleancolor polishes, but it wasn't nearly that bad. I used two coats here. This polish is not available in their store right now, unfortunately.

Royal Witch 3.0 is a blackened violet with red/pink/copper shimmer, and red microglitter. This was a surprise favorite for me, totally makes me think "witch" and I love it. Effortless formula, opaque in two coats. This is the third version of Royal Witch, hence the "3.0" in the title, in case you were wondering. I think this is a great way of keeping her popular shades in stock while still using small batches!

Shleee Polish is 5-free and handmixed. Their products are available for sale on their Etsy store and range in price from $7 - $13 per bottle. I purchased My Roanoke Nightmare for $12. Glam Polish It's Only A Dream Alice Collection [Partial] Swatches & Review

Today I have a wonderful new collection from Australian indie brand Glam Polish inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland! There are nine shades total in the collection and I have six of them to show you today :)

A Place Called Wonderland has a bright magenta pink base with holographic pigment and holographic violet, lavender, bright pink and neon pink microglitter, with added shimmering glass flecks. Excellent formula, very opaque, two coats.

Down That Rabbit Hole is a bright green with holographic pigment and holographic green, lime, and silver glitters with added shimmering glass flecks. The base on this one seemed slightly metallic to me, but that didn't change the application, which was also great. Two coats here.

You’re Entirely Bonkers has a subtle holographic base with iridescent glitter, pink, purple and green transparent glitter, with blue shimmer and purple glass flecks. I wore this on it's own but this awesome gal layered it over black and it looks amazing that way too. This seemed sheer on the first coat, but built up nicely. I used three coats for this swatch, but two was almost enough.

I Really Do Love That Hat has a bright coral base base with holographic pigment, neon pink, and silver holographic glitter with added shimmering glass flecks. This is totally my type of color, a little coral, a bit red, kinda pink, slightly orange. Great coverage, almost a one coater but I used two.

The Wrong Alice has a bright aqua blue base with holographic pigment, holographic ocean, sky blue, neon blue, and silver glitter with added shimmering glass flecks. The usual awesome formula from Glam Polish, perfect coverage in two coats.

Six Impossible Things has a glassy holographic base with iridescent glitter, transparent pink glitters and shimmery pink glass flecks. This is another one you could layer, I bet it would look stunning over a pink. Applied very easily, surprisingly great coverage on just two coats. This is really gorgeous, way better in person than I could capture in a picture.

The three remaining shades in the collection are as follows: The Best Futterwacken In All Of Witzend - holographic base with ultra holographic glitter and a rainbow mix of metallic and neon glitter; Liars! Cheats! Falsifiers! - holographic base with ultra holo glitter, red, white and black microglitter; A Crazy Mad Wonderful Idea - bright purple subtle holographic base with violet holo, bright pink holo, neon pink, and ultra holo glitter with shimmering glass flecks. My friend Ida has swatches of those ones on her blog now if you want to check them out! Lisa also has two of the ones I didn't get if you want to look at a few different swatches :)

I love the books and the original Disney cartoon, but the Tim Burton film isn't my favorite and idk if I'm going to watch the new one (but I probably will). Potion Polish The Dunes Collection Swatches & Review

An indie brand I was just getting to know last year closed their shop right after the holidays, and I was really sad to see them go. I had been so impressed with the polishes I had tried from them! But luckily it was just temporary, because they're back! Potion Polish has put out five desert themed shades for their new limited edition Dunes collection. And I love them!

Mirage is a sandy linear holographic with silver and gold holo glitter and gold micro flakies. This has really great coverage, opaque in two coats. The rainbow effect from the holo is insane! Like seriously firey!

Shimmering Flats is a pale mushroomy mauve toned crelly filled with scattered holo, pink to green shifting chrome flakies and pink holo glitter. I have tried similar polishes, but I don't mind because this is a great one. Applies like butter and opaque in two coats.

Desert Moon is an angelic ultra pale crelly with silver holo flakes and glitter in various sizes. This has a ton of goodies in it so it goes on a little chunky, but levels out well. This is two coats. There is a tiny bit of bumpiness due to the glitter, so you'll need a thick top coat.

Wild Wastes is a pale peach crelly with pink-green-gold color shifting chrome flakies and hot pink shimmer. Another really great formula, only two coats on this one as well.

Sunsoaked is a toasty gold shimmer packed with gold micro flakies and pink holo glitter that flashes iridescent. This seemed sheer on the first coat but I only needed two here. You might see tiny areas of see-through-ness in the picture but in person there is so much glitz and bling, it looks totally opaque.

China Glaze Summer 2016 Lite Brites Collection Swatches & Review

I'm back today with a summer collection from China Glaze, a "nod to the audacious spirit and outspoken style of the ‘80s" called Lite Brites! There are twelve vibrant shades in the collection, which I'm excited to show you! I was born in the late 80's but I can definitely appreciate the decade and it's bold style! Neons are notoriously difficult to capture accurately in photos, but I've tried to get my pictures as close as possible. Please make sure to consult multiple photo if you are concerned.

Lip Smackin' Good is a bubble gum neon pink with a smattering of subtle blue shimmer. This applied well and dried pretty quickly. It's a little thick, but that didn't hinder application but rather helped. Neons can be tricky to get in a good formula and these are good. This is two coats. Dries dull so you'll want a top coat.

Whip It Good is a brilliant banana yellow crème. This is almost but not quite a neon, more bright pastel. This one was a little thin, a little streaky at first, but leveled out nicely in three coats.

Let's Jam is an orchid purple with a strong blue shimmer flash. Fabulous formula, amazingly opaque in one coat. I did two here, as I normally do, but one is totally sufficient. Thin but very pigmented.

I'll Pink To That is a totally tubular neon fuchsia crelly. More jelly-like in formula than the other crèmes but very opaque, almost a one coater! I used two coats here. Very shiny!

Lime After Lime is a light bright neon lime crème. Another really great formula, a little thick but that makes it easy to get opaque and levels out really well. Two coats.

Papa Don't Peach is a coral orange jelly filled with iridescent copper glitter. This is sheerer than I expected, I needed three coats for full opacity. It dries to a textured finish, not sure if that was intentional or not. One coat of Seche Vite top coat was enough to cover the glitter and make it smooth though. This isn't my favorite look, but I like they did something different with glitter.

What I Like About Blue is a bright sky blue with tons of floating pale gold shimmer. This one was on the thin side and could pool if you have too much polish on your brush. I applied two thin coats. Dries quite dull so you'll want a top coat for shine. Also be careful with removal, this type of shimmer sticks to everything.

None Of Your Risky Business is an electric tangerine crème. Same formula as the green except a tiny bit thinner, basically a normal buttery crème. Excellent opacity in just two coats. Dries dull.

We Got The Beet is a warm vibrant grape purple jelly with iridescent copper glitter bits. Same formula and texture as Papa Don't Peach, three coats here with a thick top coat.

Bite Me is a crazy fluorescent warm pink neon with a glaze of gold shimmer. This was probably the thickest formula out of the collection, but covers in one coat. I used two here. Also dries the most matte, probably because of how neon it is. This is blindingly bright!

I Got A Blue Attitude is a deep blue-violet crème with the most subtle glimmer of shimmer. This has a great formula, another thicker one but that equals to being almost opaque in one coat. I used two here for full opacity. A difficult color to pin down, in some lights it looks more blue and in others looks more purple.

Hot Flash is the last shade, a crimson celly. This has the same formula as I'll Pink To That, very opaque for this type of formula, almost a one coater. This is two and it dries very shiny.

China Glaze Spring 2016 House of Colour Collection Swatches & Review

Hello my friends! Happy Friday to you! I have the new China Glaze collection for Spring 2016 to show you today called House of Colour. This set of twelve shades is inspired by the eclectic tones of the 1970's. There's some great polishes for the approaching warmer season, I hope you like them as much as I do!

China Glaze Sorry I'm Latte is a nude crème. Leans very neutral on me, which I love. This covered way better than I expected, it was thick but really easy to apply and I had no issues with streaking. This is two coats.

China Glaze In The Near Fuchsia is a lush fuchsia jelly crème. More squishy than a straight crème but with great coverage. A little thicker, but not difficult to use. Two coats, very shiny!

China Glaze Let's Chalk About It is a very pale, almost white, pink crème. This applied SO much better than I was expecting it to, these types of colors are usually hard to manipulate. Quite a thick formula, a little more than the others, but easy to apply. Two coats here.

China Glaze About Layin' Out is a salmony coral pink jelly crème. This had the same as consistency as In The Near Fuchsia, maybe a tad less opaque. Still, I achieved complete coverage in just two coats. This is 100% my type of shade, I love it!

China Glaze Girls Just Wanna Have Sun is a pale yellow crème. This had a very similar formula to Let's Chalk About It, but I used three coats for full coverage. Seemed a little thick on the nail at three, but dried surprisingly fast. I adore pale yellows, so this is a winner for me!

China Glaze Don't Be Shallow is a soft sky blue crelly. This is more on the sheer side, but thick at the same time. I could see this possibly getting gummy upon further use. I was very close to almost getting full coverage in two coats, but I needed a third. I didn't mind the third coat though, because it was easy to put on, unlike some three coaters can be.

China Glaze Pink Or Swim is a warm bubblegum pink crème. A classic shade, this is true, but this one just caught my attention so much when I had it on. It's very flattering! Two easy, perfect coats.

China Glaze Moonlight The Night is a glitter topper in a clear base. It features blue and purple translucent type hexes that are color reflective. You can see in the bottle the difference to how it looks over a pale base color. I put one coat over Don't Be Shallow. Although I like the combination, this was very thick after putting on a top coat. So I'd recommend a different base color that needs less layers. This would also look amazing over a dark base. I've pictured it in full sunlight and in the shade to better show off the color shifting look the glitters have.

China Glaze Shut The Front Door! is a mauve purpley-pink metallic shimmer. This applied pretty well but I found it a tad runny. Full opacity in two coats, some visible brushstrokes. I wasn't sure I was going to like this shade at first, but it really knocked me out!

China Glaze Glitter Me This... is a glitter topper with a clear base. There are various sizes of matte white and pale pink hex glitters as well as mirror-like gold hexes in this. Stunning and pretty unique! I only needed one coat over Pink or Swim for this look.

China Glaze Come Rain Or Shine is a bold azure blue with tons of pink shimmer. This shade of blue is so different looking to me, it's matchless in my collection! The formula on this guy was really good, neither thin or thick, opaque in two coats.

China Glaze Chrome Is Where The Heart Is is a blush pink chrome metallic. Not totally a smooth chrome, kind of foil-like. Completely opaque in one coat! Shows some brushstrokes and/or imperfections in the nail bed though, so apply carefully.
