My Favorite 20 Nail Polishes of 2016

This is it cookies, my last blog post! *tear* In case you missed it, please read this post as it explains my thoughts and feelings regarding retiring from the blog life. For today's post I wanted to share my favorite 20 nail polishes from this year.

There are way more than 20 that I loved of course, but these stood out just a bit more from the rest for one reason or another. The blog post where I reviewed each polish is linked with the shade name if you're interested. In no particular order, see all my picks after the jump!

ILNP Juliette - One of the polishes that I had to purchase from ILNP this year, this metallic flakie with holo sprinkles is the absolute quintessential shade of rose gold. I always end up wearing this when I want something quick and easy but that makes a big impact.

Essie Loot The Booty - This was one of two polishes that I picked up from the Essie summer collection. Vivid, super sparkly blue with an effortless formula makes this babe a must have in my stash.

Takko Lacquer Winter Succulents - This is one of my more recently acquired polishes. Takko really had an amazing year color-wise and this sage green knocked me right out of my socks. Keep an eye on this brand and try them out if you haven't yet!

Cirque Colors Hatch - Cirque's Speckled & Sparkled collection was a standout for me this year. I'm a sucker for a white crelly but the speckles in this made it extra special and the opaque formula makes it so easy to put on.

OPI Suzi The First Lady of Nails - I have always been a connoisseur of "ugly-pretty" colors and this olive green from the Fall Washington D.C. collection hit the spot for me. OPI gave us some amazing crèmes this year!

KBShimmer Prints Charming - I have an incredibly high opinion of KBShimmer but their glitter crellies have to be my favorite thing they put out.

Different Dimension Pygmy Kingfisher - I have fallen super hard for the polishes in the monthly Holo Hookup boxes and this was one of my favorites from this year. Inspired by the bird of the same name, this shifty metallic holo still has me in awe.

Pretty Serious Cosmetics Epic Haul - This guy was released in PS Cosmetics' nail enthusiast themed collection and I could relate hard to all the names they picked the colors. This green really is epic though, contrasting shimmer seemed to be a big trend this year!

Essie Taj-Ma-Haul - This came out in Essie's four piece Resort collection this year. The Resort colors usually ring my bell, as the palette is usually more exciting than spring but more subdued than summer. This orange is quite unique to my stash, it has a slight terracotta tinge which I really dig.

Nine Zero Lacquer The Colt - The Men of Letters collection came out at the beginning of fall and Supernatural fans rejoiced! I don't watch the show but I can still appreciate this opaque dark grey shimmer, so sexy!

Cupcake Polish Flamingo - This is another Holo Hookup exclusive shade, from the same bird-themed box in November as the Different Dimension shade I talked about above. This holographic is basically my favorite shade of coral ever and the holo fire is super strong.

Illyrian Polish Eleven - Iridescent shifty hex glitters were really en vogue during the latter part of the year and this polish showcases them so well. It's from Illyrian's Stranger Things inspired collection, a great show too!

SuperChic Lacquer Rum-Billie - SuperChic kept up their high reputation for holos this year with the Urban Dictionary collection in early fall. This spiced rum ultra holo found itself right at home in my stash and my heart!

Glam Polish Mario Time! - The Ready...Set...Go! collection was ultra fun, and this red, white, blue and silver glitter bomb is pure Americana goodness! Even it was created in Australia ;) Glam Polish has a special place in my nail polish lovin' soul, I can't resist them! I swear I needed something from every collection they've done this year.

Moo Moo's Signatures Whisper A Wish - I don't tend to usually get very excited over glitter toppers, but this one from Singapore base indie Moo Moo really captured my attention. I got to try a lot of colors from this brand too over the year and fell hard for them!

Girly Bits What Happens In Vegas...Ends Up On Twitter - Another brand that really impressed me this year is Girly Bits. This color in particular, a one time exclusive inspired by the Cosmoprof North America trip in Las Vegas. I couldn't stop wearing this when I got it, it's so sparkly and shifty!

Powder Perfect Horus - Microglitters are another finish that have to be done super well to get my blood pumping and PP has them down pat! I was stunned by all of the glitters in their Egyptology collection this year. Plus I have to mention their awesome holographics, they are kind of a different type of particle than I see from anyone else and I love them!

Zoya Merida - This polish was literally one that I had been dreaming Zoya would create for a few years now. Their holographic flake polishes are some of my favorite, so this green version is seriously a dream come true!

Glisten & Glow From Tokyo, With Love - Glisten & Glow does holographics really well, my favorite finish from them. A firey coral red from the May box of The Holo Hookup inspired by red Japanese pagodas, a well-worn shade for me this year.

China Glaze Purple Fiction - The fall Rebel collection from CG really spoke to me due to the 90's theme, as I was most definitely a 90's girl. This metallic really floored me because of how smooth, glowy, and brush-stroke free it is!
