I have to be honest, I wanted this polish mainly for the name. Basically only for the name. OPI
Kinky in Helsinki is a pretty unremarkable nail polish, but its moniker is fabulous and makes me grin every time I hear it. The polish is a metallic fuchsia with a blue/pink flash. Bright and fun, this is two coats.
This was originally put out in the European collection in 2002, then was released again in the OPI Colorcopia collection in 2009. I got this from a blog sale, it shouldn't be too hard to find.
I've been lemming this one!
ReplyDeleteLove the name too.
I am also lemming this one. I run across it, every now and again on Amazon and tell myself, "Next time." Well, the next time I am cruising for polish, I am snapping it up. Your swatch sent me over the edge and I mustmustmust have it, now. :D
ReplyDeleteI totally bought this polish for the name! Good to know I'm not the only one.
ReplyDeleteI bought Zoya Jenine because of the name (although mine is spelled differently). I'm not fond of the color, though.
ReplyDeletePretty color :) I like the color of the shimmer
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure this was on the last discontinue list. I noticed it's been harder to find on 2nd market and $$$ is been going up. I am with you Kelly - it's nice, but it's never been at the top of the favs for fuchsia with the shimmer/blue flash. I always liked Pompeii Purple better - then Flashbulb Fuchsia are my go tos for this color range. Deborah Lippmann's Making Whoopie is pretty also.
ReplyDeleteI bought it also because of the name. I work in Helsinki and I'm planning to move there. It is so beautiful city. World design capitol 2012.
