This color is called 360, named for the action move where a surfer and their board spin around on the face of a wave. This beachy muted teal blue was released in the Surf's Up collection in 2010. I am head over heels in love with this color, so beautiful. There is a subtle silver shimmer to it that makes it pop. Two coats.
Here is the quintessential red, Chinoise. It's a bright, rich, luxurious red that dries so super shiny it's hard to believe. I don't often run around with red nails, for some reason it's the only color I don't feel 100% percent comfortable in. However, after years of "exposure therapy" haha I definitely can rock the red talons on occasion. I feel like such a sexy babe when I wear this, far out of my comfort zone ;) This is two coats. Love!
I used the three step base prep, base, and top coat from RBL on all of these swatches (and all my recent manicures). I will be doing an in depth review on those soon. You can get these are all on www.RescueBeauty.com for $18. Do you own any of them? Are you tempted to get them if you don't have them? Have a great week friends :)

Ooh, now i'm torn between Victoriana by Butter London, and 360. God, they're both so beautiful and unique, but very similar.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they're similar really- I mean the base color is, but Victoriana is FULL of silver microglitter while 360 just has that subtle RBL shimmer going on.
DeleteIt's very subtle and nothing like what you see in this macro shot with full sun. It's lovely, but if you're getting it for the shimmer, don't assume it will look like this picture. And keep that in mind for the entire Georgia on My Mind collection, too.
DeleteI think Victoriana is a much less complex 360. If you're looking for obvious shimmer, Victoriana is the way to go. The shimmer in 360 just lends it depth.
Delete360 looks amazing:)
ReplyDelete360 looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like all 3 of them :)
ReplyDeleteI feel self-conscious wearing red too, but Chinoise looks gorgeous! Would you characterize it as a warm, cool, or neutral red? (always hard to tell in pics)
ReplyDeleteI just love the purple. So nice. And the red is really nice too! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous picture of Chinoise! I might have to grab that one next time I place an order.
ReplyDeleteThat red is so beautiful!
