Potion Polish Magic of Christmas Collection Swatches & Review

I can't believe it's December y'all, it's been one crazy year! I've welcomed the snow and the cold weather, but I'm sure I'll be sick of it soon haha. Is it cold where you are? Any-who, I've got another awesome indie holiday collection for you today, it's the Potion Polish Magic of Christmas collection! And spoiler alert...it's my favorite collection they've ever done!

Christmas Cheer is a deep plummy purple with a blue sheen that shifts from a dark violet to a magenta cherry red to a cobalt blue with holographic flakes mixed in. This is a gorgeous shade and I was sad to take it off! Good formula, a touch on the runny side, but you get the right amount on your brush and you're set! This is two coats.

Snowmelt is a fosty winter blue with added silver flakes and a soft holographic effect. This formula knocked my wooly winter socks off! Effortless to paint with, opaque in just two coats!

Very Merry is a deep cranberry holographic with added twinkles of gold glitter. Stellar and super simple formula, two coats for coverage. This reminds me of a yummy bowl of cranberry sauce, with holo!

Define Naughty is a light creamy beige with a soft holographic effect. This shade was very easy to apply for such a light color, and it was more opaque than I expected! I used two coats here.

All Decked Out is a peachy warm rose gold jelly stuffed with holographic flakes. Nice and easy formula, no issues here. I found it looked great at two coats but you can make it even more opaque by using one more layer. Those holo sparks are dazzling eh?

Morning Mocha has a dark chocolatey base filled with strong copper shimmer and golden bronze chrome flakes. Another great formula, no fuss here! Two coats for full opacity. This guy dries a bit dull so you'll want a shiny top coat.

Even Santa Loves Pink is an adorable soft pink leaning slightly lavender holographic with gold accents. Can you believe it, this one is great too! Two easy dreamy coats. I'm head over heels for this, I always like pink at Christmas time!

Holly Bough is rich dark green holographic with some glimmery gold chrome flakes. It was very smooth and lovely, just glides on the nail. I used two coats here.

Cirque Colors Holiday 2016 Collection Swatches & Review

I've got another holiday collection for ya today, this time from Cirque Colors! They are bringing us four radiant lacquers inspired by the glitz and glam of the holiday season. We have three new shades and one returning favorite.

Halcyon is a highly reflective rose gold made with pure silver-coated micro-flakes. This shade came out a while ago and it was a limited edition, so it's great to see again in case you missed it the first time (which I did). This has excellent coverage and a flawless formula. It was almost completely opaque in one coat but I used one more for good measure.

Idyllic is a highly reflective icy blue made with pure silver-coated micro-flakes. This has the same formula as Halcyon but it might be just a touch less opaque. Equally great formula, two coats.

Ambrosia is an oxblood red holographic. This applied like butter, another almost one coater. I used two here to get the full deepness of color you see in the bottle.

Winter Bloom is a mint green jelly filled with holographic flakes and a gorgeous blush shimmer flash. This one was a touch sheer, but that better shows off the flakes and shimmer. I used three coats here.

Cirque Colors Facets Collection Swatches & Review

Hey there! Cirque Colors has a new six piece collection of some crystal and gemstone inspired polishes, the Facets! These are all gorgeous pigmented shades filled with blingy holographic flakes.

Dioptase is a darkened blue-teal jelly crème with holographic flakes. This base is creamy but still technically a jelly I think, which that lends to being more opaque than a straight jelly. Two coats here.

Garnet is an opulent burgundy jelly with holographic flakes. This one seemed a bit uneven in some spots on two coats, so you may opt to use one more. This is super luxe, great for the fall season or holiday!

Paraiba is a vivid cyan-green jelly with holographic flakes. This surprised me, it's so bright and intense! A great formula, I used two coats here.

Smoky Quartz is a deep brown-black jelly with holographic flakes. This one was a nice opaque jelly, two coats. I think we've seen shades like this before, but the touch of brown here makes it a little more unique.

Morganite is a peachy pink jelly with holographic flakes. This was mostly flakes on the first layer, but it builds up to show off that rose gold base in three coats. This was almost blinding it was so sparkly in the sun!

Tanzanite is a brilliant "blurple" jelly crème with holographic flakes. A difficult color to capture 100% accurately but I think I came pretty close. This is another very pigmented, vivid shade that I love.

ILNP Ultra Metallic Flakies Swatches & Review

Hi friends! I have two beautiful polishes to share with you today. I bought these from boutique indie brand ILNP a while ago and couldn't keep them from my readers any longer haha.

Juliette is a rose gold ultra metallic flakie with a holographic effect. This is incredibly stunning and I pretty much want to wear it every day. This went on my nails like magic, nice buttery magic. Opaque in two coats. I love that these types of flakie finishes don't require extra top coat to make them smooth like some glitters, just one. :)

Bulletproof Symphony is a medium blue periwinkle ultra metallic flakie with a holographic effect. Reminds me of a pair of jeans, but some really awesome, holographic blingy jeans haha. Applied super easily with full coverage in two coats!

Cirque Colors Speckled & Sparkled Collection Swatches & Review

Hey there! Today I have the new Cirque Colors Speckled & Sparkled collection to show you! This is a 10-piece limited edition collection featuring "a range of delicately speckled pastels and glistening foil holographics". The "speckles" are designed around Hatch, a white and grey flecked polish released last year, making a comeback in this collection. The "sparkles" have a different type of foil-like finish, they are made with a special type of superfine sterling silver pigment, sparkling more than a typical foil while maintaining a reflective and smooth finish. These were kinda hard to capture in a photo, they're so much better in person!

Himalayan Pink is a rose gold sterling foil holographic. This applied like butter, covered completely in two coats. I left top coat off for these swatches but when I tried it, it didn't diminish the sparkle at all. All the "sparkles" have the same formula, so I won't bore you by repeating it each time.

Hatch is an opaque white crelly with grey speckles. Incredibly easy formula for such a light polish, and almost a one coater! I used two layers here. All the "speckles" have the same formula too. :)

Sencha is a seafoam green sterling foil holographic.

Astra is a light pink crelly with granite-like speckles. Some of the flecks in this one are shiny!

Oasis is a blue teal sterling foil holographic.

Cin Cin (pronounced chin-chin) is a sparkling champagne sterling foil holographic.

Mint Chip is a mint green crelly with chocolate colored speckles.

Saint Cloud is a silvery lavender sterling foil holographic.

Acid Wash is a pale blue crelly with denim speckles.

Besos is a deep magenta sterling foil holographic.

These are all available now on the Cirque Colors website for $13 each. The collection is labeled as limited edition so I don't know exactly how long they are going to be around, but I wouldn't hesitate if I were you! Different Dimension Let Them Eat Glitter Collection Swatches & Review

Hey kids! I'm back again for a brand new adventure. Today's nail polish collection is called Let Them Eat Glitter by indie brand Different Dimension in collaboration with youtuber Nicole of Young, Wild and Polished! This collection consists of six glittery, sparkly, insanely blingy polishes. They are so fun!

Different Dimension Mrs. Rabbit is a purpley magenta jelly with intense blue shimmers, filled with chunky pink holographic glitters. This one seems pretty sheer on the first coat, but builds up a lot on the second. I still added another coat because I felt the base was still slightly translucent, but two is probably fine. I don't love this color, but it's pretty unique to my collection!

Different Dimension YWPimpin is a gunmetal linear holographic polish with added gold flakies, sterling silver plated flakies and gold holographic microglitters. This polish is epic! One of my favorite types of polishes from DD, so glad to have one in this color. Applies like a dream, two coats for opacity.

Different Dimension Champagne Rain is made up of uber fine holographic gold and silver microglitters in a holographic base. Insanely beautiful, that awesome fine glitter is so smooooth! This is almost a one coater but I used two to completely cover every tiny crevice. Real thirsty though, my first coat of top coat was all sucked up and basically disappeared by the time I walked outside to get a picture so I put another on.

Different Dimension Topaz 2.0 is a lightened rose gold glitter bomb. Full of pink and gold holographic glitters and gold flakies in a rose gold tinted base. I found the base to be a little watery and I didn't get a ton of glitter out on the first coat, however on the second coat it was perfect! The second stuck to the first really well and I was able to get great coverage with the glitter. I love anything rose gold, so this is dear to my heart.

Different Dimension Banjo Bling is a gold holographic glitter bomb, filled with gold holographic glitters in hexes and squares, and sterling silver plated and gold flakies. Same formula as Topaz 2.0, also two coats here.

Different Dimension Glitter Bug is basically the silver version of Banjo Bling. It has silver holographic glitters in different size hexes and squares as well as sterling silver plated flakies. Same formula as the other two glitter bombs, two coats for coverage.

They put a disclaimer on the listing of this collection saying "some of these polishes may require an extra coat of top coat to smooth out the glitters" and I find that to be very accurate. But only one extra coat should be necessary, so they're not much different than any other chunky glitter. You can purchase these now on the Different Dimension website for $50. Most of them are available individually for $8.75 except YWPimpin, which is $11. So you definitely save some moola by buying this as a set. GlitterDaze Holiday 2015 Glitz & Glam Trio Swatches & Review

Hey again! I have the second trio for Holiday 2015 to show you today from indie brand GlitterDaze, I showed you the Winter Night trio the other day in case you missed it. These three are holographics in metallic shades, great for your holiday parties or New Year's Eve! I did not put a top coat on these so I could show you their total holographic-ness, but I did put try a top coat on them later and it didn't affect the look, which is nice. Let's take a look!

All That Glitters is a metallic gold linear holographic. This has a lovely neutral gold hue, not too yellow. Easy formula to apply. I used two coats here, but I noticed after looking at the photos there was still a bit of see-through-ness on the corners of my nails so I could've used one more coat.

A Pretty Penny is a rich metallic copper linear holographic. A bit on the bronzey side of copper, this is a unique shade to my holo collection. The holo particles look a bit bigger in this one than the other two in this trio. Easy formula, two coats for opacity.

Rosé On Ice is a pale metallic rose gold-y nude linear holographic. I thought this would be the most subdued of the three, but the fire is really strong in the holo, it even shows up indoors in lower lighting. This is two coats, but I might've needed one more to get the sides covered a bit more like the first polish.

Different Dimension The Dream Team Trio Swatches & Review

Hello there! Today I have some new polishes from indie brand Different Dimension to show you, a trio called The Dream Team. These are all the product of maker Missi's love of tri-colored gold, and I'm right there with her! I've been loving metallic colored polishes/glitters this year!

Sunbeam is a gold polish with holographic gold microglitters, sterling silver plated flakies and shimmer. This was super easy to apply, just like a regular polish. Great glitter payoff, I only needed two coats! The glitter feels very flat, not chunky at all, but you may need a second coat of top coat for extra smoothness.

Star Stream has the same formula as Sunbeam, but it's a silver polish. Also two coats. This is crazy blingy and incredibly fresh looking.

Moonbeam also has the same formula as the other two, but in rose gold. I also used two coats here. I'm borderline obsessed with rose gold now and this has a slight tinge of coral, so I'm head over heels with it! This one seems the most three-dimensional because of the breakup of color, very cool.

Glam Polish Anniversary Ultra Holos Collection Swatches & Review

The brilliant minds over at Australian indie brand Glam Polish have a new collection coming out this Friday to celebrate their third year in business and it's a doozy! It's a nine piece collection of ultra holographic polishes in a bunch of luxurious shades. I did not use top coat for any of these swatches to show their maximum holographic-ness.

Ornate is described as a platinum "ultra holo". This and a few others in the collection have a metallic finish, which is a neat combination with the intense holographic pigment. There was a bit of brushstrokey-ness, but they're almost completely imperceptible when it dries. I had the best results using thin coats. This swatch shows two.

Delirium is an indigo blurple-y ultra holo. This one is very pigmented and almost opaque in one coat, but I used two here. A touch of metallic but not as much as the lighter shades in this collection.

Precious is described as a pink gold ultra holo. It has a touch of lavender to it as well, making it delicate and girly. Two coats on this as well.

Gilded is a yellow gold ultra holo. This has that metallic-ness that Ornate does, including the there-but-almost-not-there brushstrokes. This has a slight green tinge to it in indoor lighting, but in the sun it's obviously yellow.

Ecstasy is a violet ultra holo. Another fuss-free formula, almost opaque in one coat. I used two here.

Opulent is a metallic bronze ultra holo. I feel like this is so metallic it's right on the border of being frosty, but it's not quite there. This was opaque in two coats.

Rapture is described as a scarlet ultra holo. Great opacity on one coat, but I used two as per usual.

Exquisite is a rose gold ultra holo. This one is a little special because there are lovely little copper speckles in the base along with the holographic. Two coats.

Luscious is a magenta ultra holo. Excellent formula with no application issues, opaque in two coats.

I really enjoyed all of these shades. They are classy and not too loud, but totally make a statement. This collection will be released on Friday November 6th at 5pm EDT (US) at www.glampolish.com.au with shipping to Australia, USA and France. Their stockists should get the collection at a later date. My favorite in the collection has to be Exquisite because of my weakness for rose gold! What is your pick?
