diamond cosmetics spring collection
yikes! i have had these swatches FOR-EV-ER! and i'm just now posting them? how bad do i suck?? pretty bad. diamond cosmetic's spring collection this year seemed a bit safe at first glance, but the different finishes made the polishes really stand out in my opinion.
serendipity is a semi-frosty shimmery pale baby blue. this isn't the color i usually go for but i really really liked it on me. this is two coats.
tranquility is a light turquoise-ish slightly minty blue creme that is pretty great. idk why i don't have more diamond cosmetics polishes, they're so great and so affordable. this is two coats, and you can see i did an excellent clean up job with this swatch (sarcasm).
orange blush was an unexpected pleasant surprise. an orange jelly that has a tinge of peachyness to it. i really like it! i found it extremely flattering and appropriate for spring. three coats.
razzmatazz isn't my type of color, but it looks GOOD y'all! a pale pink rosey shimmer frost color with a flash of blue. three coats on this guy. i have to admit, i would not pick this up if i saw it in stores, but honestly i'm really glad i have it cuz it looks way nice on me hee hee :)
hot lips is SUPER hawt :D a hot pink jelly?? uhh yes please! three coater.
gypsy pink is probably my least favorite out of this collection. darkish pink shimmer with slight frostyiness, blue flash. meh, a little boring. two coats.

orly sweet collection
orly sent me three colors from the sweet collection they did in the spring around the same time they did their bloom collection. i got lollipop, pixy stix, and gumdrop. i particularly liked this collection because each polish came with a little scented/color-coordinated lipgloss that matched the polish name. so yep, lollipop's lipgloss smelled just like the delicious candy treat!
lollipop is a lovely pastel lavender creme. i feel like we've seen a lot of these colors this spring, but orly's formula is pretty fabulous--better than some of their big competitors that's for sure. plus i have to mention their amazing rubberized brush handles, which in my opinion, make polish application soooo much easier. their bottles also are sized at .6 oz while most polishes are only .5 oz or less. i like that. big fatty bottles make mama feel gooood.
pixy stix is a rich and bright but still in the pastel family type pink. it's very summer dress-like. ya know, if you wear summer dresses. i don't. i wish i did, almost. i'm more of a year-round jeans girl. also, scrubs. but i digress, the point is that this color is so girly and pretty and exactly what i love in a creme. easy to apply and not too thick.
ok so for the life of me i cannot find my pictures of gumdrop, the minty blue shade in the collection. so i'll have to reswatch it for ya. but this post is already soooo overdue that i figured i'd put it up anyway. so look out for an update! also, i cropped these pictures at different times and the site i use is being straight whack so my watermarks are all the hellz over the damn place. plus i'm tired and it's too late to do them over. i'm visiting my family in lovely Nevada, where it's still SNOWING btw, this weekend starting tomorrow so i'll catch you dolls on the flipside. have a great day!

diamond cosmetics spring 2010
diamond cosmetics sent me their latest collection for review. so i thought i'd post the bottle pictures for you to peruse and i'll have the swatches and my review up very soon :) plus the others that i've been slacking on (i.e. orly sweet, orly bloom, man glaze, the rest of china glaze up & away, and opi hong kong). enjoy!
they also threw in their new super base coat and super dry top coat.
can't wait to try these guys!
my sister and nephew were in town last weekend which was so fun! i always have the best time with them. and my brother is in town this weekend to visit some of his friends from high school and to go snowboarding in the snowy sweet peaks of utah. i've been pretty stressed from school and work so i'm excited to relax and spend some time with him. also, my friend is having his 30th birthday as an 80's theme party this saturday so that will be a super blasty blast, haha. if i'm brave enough, i'll post some pics :) have a great weekend!
