This is a total classic OPI, Bubble Bath. It's literally the first shade of nail polish I ever remember hearing about. A predominantly "bridal" color, this shade is described as a pink shade of white. I know the newest versions of this are more pink than the original was, but this is my first bottle so I have nothing to compare it to. This is four coats, it's quite sheer, but lovely and timeless.
Now for a more salacious version of a pink manicure, this is China Glaze Wicked Style from their Electropop collection with an accent nail of Floss Gloss Dimepiece. The pink is a punchy bright but not neon pink which I think contrasts excellently with the chunky silver glitter. I felt so funky fresh wearing this mani :)
You can buy OPI at professional retailers and salons for $8.50. You can buy China Glaze from retailers like Sally Beauty, Ulta, and online for around $7. Floss Gloss is sold online for $8. Have you worn any good pink manicures lately?

Two beautiful pink shades, I don't have too many pink polishes but I really like the look of Bubble Bath. Even though my wedding is quite a while away, I've been pondering nail choices and this could be a contender with a glitter aspect to it. I love the second mani as well, that accent nail goes perfectly with it!

DeleteLove the Bubble bath one for it looks light and natural. Simple yet classy. This nail color is perfect for everyday wear. Love it!
ReplyDeleteBoth look absolutely beautiful on you!! I own Bubble Bath but it got so little contrast to my skin that I don't like to wear it on its own. The bright pink with Accent nail is definitvely my favorite <3
ReplyDeletePink is my go to polish shade of all time. I am sure it was the first shade I ever wore back in the 60's when I wore polish as a kid. It was surplanted in the 60's by frosty white with the mod British phase hitting fashion, but I do recall in HS wearing a frosted Maybeline or Revlon pink more often than not. Today I tend to go for all hues of pink but not the frosted finish (we had little choice of finish in the 60's and 70's - it was frost or cream and only grandmas wore cream! I am a 2X Breast Cancer survivor so I really support wearing the pink! I am here cured because of the great progress that was made in medicine in the past 15-20 yrs. Now we need to do the same thing for ovarian cancer - still a huge silent killer of women.
ReplyDeleteI have a mini bottle of Bubble Bath I've never worn - I need to! And this swatch makes me want Wicked Style BAD! You just can't go wrong with a pink manicure. I love every color of the rainbow but pink is always sure to make me happy when I wear it!
ReplyDeleteoh so much, pink definitely makes me smile when i wear it!
