It's Feburary and Valentine's Day is imminent. An exciting day for all you happy couples but a big fat stinky reminder of singlehood for the unattached. I don't usually like to make a big deal out of the V-day, as I find it a silly tradition and a just another reason to spend money, but it is good excuse to rock a sweet pink manicure.
Sinful Colors is repromoting some of their shades for the occasion, 6 of their pink lacquers ready to "pretty-you-up" for the big day. I got three of them to show you and I actually love all of them. You may know that I enjoy my pinks, of course, but I bet you will like these just as much as I do.
Scandal is a beautiful, almost-neon pink jelly. This really pops, I would wear this any day, not just for the cheesiest holiday of the year ;) This is two coats.
Boom Boom is a magenta pink jelly crème with mega pigment. Beautiful and so easy to apply. Two coats on this one too!
Glass Pink is actually a color I already had, a sheer glass-fleck pale pink sparkle gloss. I actually like this on it's own but it looks great as a topcoat to other polishes. The swatch by itself is two coats and the topcoat is one on top of Boom Boom.

ReplyDeleteI usually HATE pinks, but wowza. I don't know how you to it, but I actually think things like "that's stunning!" whenever I see your pink swatches (well, your swatches generally, but..) and then I want them. Boom Boom is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can identify with the anti-Valentine's day sentiments. It's not just because I'm always single (mostly by choice... if I keep telling myself that it might be true lol!) but because... well, why does one need a special holiday to let their significant other know they care? Psh!

i loveee scandal! and the glass pink. andddd even though i am not single...valentine's day is kinda lame. the only real reason i get chocolate from my boyfriend is because his mom works for lindt chocolate. otherwise there would be no acknowledgement of the holiday..HOWEVER i do like the reason to put hearts on everything

ReplyDeleteIt is soon spring and pink seems to be so much more attractive to me this time of year so yes, I want them all! And I'm not usually a pink kind of girl. Still, nail polish I do seem to love in every color. :D

ReplyDeleteI usually find pinks and reds a bit boring, they are just too "normal". But sometimes you just want to be normal, so right now I am wearing Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds in Rhinestone PINK! lol It has the same kind of finish as Glass Pink, it's just a little darker. I feel like a girly girl!

Love these pinks! I have all three. As a matter of fact I have two bottles of Glass Pink. It's gorgeous and this is from someone who doesn't like sheer polish!
