eyeko polish

these are my first eyeko polishes ever and i absolutely love them. eyeko means "love" in japanese and the logo of this company looks very brit/harajuku :) it's a london based company so you have to order them online, USA girls but that's alright, they're worth it. i was sent posh polish: for ladylike nails, tea rose polish: for country nails, and vampira polish: for gothic nails.

tea rose polish is a dream. perfect rosey pink creme. this is three coats. it wore really well too. i wore this polish as a full mani for three days and nary a chip did befall me. this nail color is totally what i have in my mind as what "Claire" from The Breakfast Club (Molly Ringwald) wore, although the only picture i could find of her showed a rose taupe color, i still think about her whenever i think of tea rose!

posh polish is a super chic taupe creme that is right up there with chanel particuliere, opi's over the taupe, and barry m's mushroom among others. this shade is not unique, but that doesn't mean it's not beautiful. these polishes have a great formula. this is two coats.

vampira polish is one i had seen on other blogs and was definitely excited to try. i have china glaze's lubu heels of course, which i'm sure inspired this polish, and wanted to see how similar they are. i have to say i think eyeko has done a great job of duplicating the look and perfecting the formula, one upping china glaze! the formula on lubu heels is pretty troublesome, the first one is horribly watery and pools in my cuticles and it takes forever to dry. vampira, on the other hand, took three thin coats to make opaque and dried ridiculously fast on me. i'm very pleased. and talk about glossy!

i have a pretty high opinion of eyeko polishes right now. i like the bottle labels but the teeny bottles leave me grasping at them a little awkwardly though. but, they do look waaay better than those eensy weensy little jars they used to have with the bottle cap lids. have you guys tried eyeko yet? what colors are your fav's? i want to definitely try indigo polish and coral polish next.
